CNG delivery | Glycol bath PRS

PRS-G8000

Trailer pressure in, site pressure out, built for high-volume CNG. NuBlu Energy's flagship glycol bath pressure reduction system takes gas straight from CNG trailers down to user-defined site pressure with the heating capacity, redundancy and automation needed for continuous delivery up to 8,000 MSCF/d.

Overview

CNG delivered from trailers arrives at high pressure and drops sharply on its way to site pressure. That pressure drop cools the gas fast enough to freeze regulators, valves and downstream equipment if the heat is not put back in. The PRS-G8000 puts it back with a 2 MMBTU/hr glycol bath heater sized for continuous delivery up to 8,000 MSCF/d.

Redundant control valve (stage 1) and Mooney regulator (stage 2) circuits keep gas flowing even during maintenance. User-definable outlet PSVs and onboard fuel gas mean the unit ships ready to drop on site, hook up and run. Trailer swap logic, multi-trailer mode and start-up sequencing are handled in software.

Why PRS-G8000

Glycol bath heating

2 MMBTU/hr glycol bath heater sized for continuous 8,000 MSCF/d delivery. Keeps gas above hydrate and freeze conditions even during sustained high-flow operation.

Redundant pressure control

First-stage cut by two parallel control valve circuits, second-stage cut by two parallel Mooney regulator circuits. Run on one, service the other. No shutdown for routine maintenance.

Mobile package

Trailer mounted and under 30 ft, designed to move between sites and operate wherever CNG trailers are staged.

Fully automated

PLC-based control with HMI and remote monitoring via Ewon. Trailer swap logic, multi-trailer mode and start-up sequencing handled in software.

Onboard fuel gas

Self-supplied fuel gas for the heater burner. No external fuel hookup required to start producing heat.

Built and tested in shop

Final assembly, FAT, loop checks and HMI commissioning happen in our shop. Issues get caught in the shop, not on your site.

Typical applications

  • Dual-fuel frac and e-frac fleets

Engineering and aftermarket support

Every PRS-G8000 ships with a complete engineering package: P&IDs, GA drawings, electrical load lists and a full O&M manual. Critical spares, including control valve trims and instrumentation, are stocked at our shop for fast response.

Field service, troubleshooting and remote diagnostics are handled by the same team that designed and built the unit.

The PRS family: pick the heat source, then the capacity

PRS-G series

Glycol bath heater. High-volume, continuous duty with reliable heating.

PRS-C series

Catalytic heater. Flame-free, compact, no separate fuel hookup.
